Microsoft 365 E vs Office 365 E plans
Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 include Office 365 plus Intune device management, Entra ID P1 or P2 and Windows Enterprise rights. Office 365 E1, E3 and E5 include the apps, email and compliance tools only, for organizations that manage devices and identity with other tools.

When to move from Business to Enterprise
Move to an enterprise plan when you pass 300 users, need Windows Enterprise features, or need advanced compliance such as eDiscovery Premium and insider risk management. Business and enterprise plans can be combined in one tenant while you migrate.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a user limit on enterprise plans?
No. Microsoft 365 and Office 365 enterprise plans have no maximum number of users.
Do enterprise plans include Copilot?
