Windows Server 2025 Standard from Alkimio. Windows Server 2025 Standard is licensed per physical core, with a minimum of 16 cores per server and 8 per processor. This 2-core pack covers the cores above that minimum.
For example, a server with 20 physical cores needs one 16-core license plus two 2-core packs. Packs can also be used to build up licensing in smaller steps when you add hardware.
To run more virtual machines under Standard, license all cores again for each additional 2 VMs. Our team can check your server and confirm the right number of packs.
